| Universal The Universal is one of our latest style tables and is decidedly pleasing in appearance. It has square head blocks, and richly designed egg and dart moldings along the sides and at the heads. The table is finished in the best style, fitted with all the improvements known to our firm and can be purchased at a very reasonable price. It is usually made in oak. Like all our tables the Universal has the famous patent Monarch cushions, that were accorded a special prize at the World’s Fair, an honor given to scarcely any other exhibitor. These tables are also fitted with our specially designed patent head blocks, and like our other designs are copied everywhere. The copies are very poorly put together, however, and cannot compare with the originals, either for construction, materials, or mechanical skill. Furnished either as a carrom or pool table or both combined. All combination tables have our patent adjustable carrom plugs, with iron fastenings. Stock sizes 4x8, and 4 1/2x9. All tables are fitted with Vermont slate bed from our own quarries, imported Simonis cloth, and the incomparable Monarch cushions. The legs, besides being joined with wooden dowels, are fastened with a large iron bolt passing through the entire length of the leg to the top of the head block, thus insuring positive solidity. |
