Antique Tables
Home Club
Home Club units were available from approximately 1919 to 1928. The following copy is excerpted from Brunswick-Balke-Collender Co. literature of the time.

This table is available in two styles, either as a pocket billiard table or as a combination table with interchangeable cushions for playing both carom and pocket billiards on the same table. Each of these two styles is made in two sizes, 3x6, requiring a room at least 11 x 14, and 3 1/2 x 7, requiring a room at least 12 x 15.

The combination game feature of the Home Club style table is achieved through the use of two sets of cushions, one for carom billiards and a set for pocket billiards. They are quickly and easily interchanged by the mere opening and closing of a hand lever under rails which lock either set firmly in place. A box is furnished to hold the set of cushions not in use.

This exclusive feature insures perfection of cushion action regardless of the style of billiard game wanted for play.

The top available for the Home Club table converts it to an ideal library, dining or living room table entirely concealing its billiard features.

The Home Club can be used as a dining or living room table. A section wood top of selected American Walnut, is available with each table. These sectional tops have drop aprons which conceal the billiard rails and pockets. Hence, when top is locked in place the table to all appearance is a dining or living room table only, so cleverly are the billiard features concealed.

The Home Club is built of beautiful American Walnut and of a design and finish that will harmonize perfectly with the modern furnishings in a dining room or living room. The finish is hand rubbed and durable.

A feature of this table is the disappearing accessory drawer with built in cue rack. This drawer will hold all necessary equipment for playing the various games of billiards and will keep it out of sight, neat and in good condition when not in use. When closed, this drawer is directly underneath the center of the table and is out of sight and out of the way, permitting you to sit comfortably at the table.

Another feature of the Home Club is the attached ball rack with a hinge arrangement whereby it can be swung up underneath the table when not in use--out of sight and out of the way.
