"Specifications:
Wood and Finish: Furnished in Mahogany only in "1940 Antique Mahogany" finish. Mahogany of best grade imported quality and inlaid with finest imported wood inlay, all done by hand by our skilled cabinet makers. Design and finish by direction of one of North America's most famous furniture designers.
Construction: Semi-Jumbo type to give rigidity necessary for best play. Table made in our compound construction type which gives life and solidity to table. Slate bearing surface 5" x 3 3/8" thick set on reinforced side 10 1/4" in width. All parts of laminated construction and put together so as to avoid warping and changes due to atmospheric conditions. Sides and legs are double cross veneered both inside and out and reinforced with glue blocks, glue used in all cases being special moisture-resisting. Sides bolted and dowelled into legs to give maximum of rigidity. Legs reinforced at bottom with bright, stainless chromium leg plates insulated with rubber to prevent damage to legs from wear and tear. Table supported by cross stretchers and long stretchers, the cross stretchers supporting the slate at the joints, which adds strength and furnishes additional bearing surface for slate. Table built knocked down construction to provide convenience for shipping.
The Cushion Rails: Rails made according to Brunswick famous 3-ply compound construction of different kinds of wood of varying grains to insure rigidity and lasting qualities. Rail caps 3" x 1 1/4" of genuine imported rosewood glued to laminated core to insure long life. Rails faced with blind rail facings that eliminate exposed rail bolt caps, and fitted with fancy metal name plate. Rails held perfectly to slate with 36 extra heavy iron cushion bolts.
The Slate Bed: Best quality, imported, extra heavy, 1 1/2" full, clear slate with five pieces to the set; thoroughly ground on both sides to insure a perfect water level, with all joints tightly fitted and held by brass dowels and inserted sockets.
The Cushions: All tables fitted with the famous Brunswick lightning fast "Superspeed Club" cushions, the cushions with the perfect natural angle and the fastest and most accurate cushions in the world. The cushions that are manufactured in the big operations insure identical action from each set. Every cushion is triple tested in Brunswick's laboratories for strength, resiliency and accuracy.
The Pocket Irons: Brunswick No. 11 Improved style, which are countersunk in ends of the cushion rails by means of brass sockets. The tan pocket leathers on all new tables are reinforced at point of contact, giving extra durability. Bet white cord No. 40 pockets furnished unless otherwise specified.
