Antique Tables
Cabinet No. 3
From the 1894 Brunswick-Balke-Collender Co. catalog, page 10:

Patent applied for.

This style of table is specially adapted for private residences.

The Cabinet No. 3 has doors at either end, opening in the center, and drawers above, as in the other styles of the same variety of table. The doors of the cabinet have raised panels, with egg and dart moldings, and are very attractive in appearance. Finely designed pilasters with Doric caps, surrounded by light and elegant shaped brackets, are at the different corners of the table and at the ends of the cabinets. All the columns have raised panels with beaded moldings. There are two pilasters with Doric caps on each of the surfaces of the sides of the cabinets, and splendidly polished raised panels with egg and dart moldings between each division. A shaped and beaded molding is above the base of the table and runs throughout its entire length. There are carved moldings at the lower edge of the face of the rail, and richly gilded metal caps of a unique rosette design give an added richness to the elegant appearance of this handsome production.

The Cabinet No. 3 is usually manufactured in either oak or mahogany, but can be made of any wood to suit the taste of the purchaser.

Furnished either as a crrom or pool table, or both combined. All combination tables have our patent adjustable carrom plugs, with iron fastenings.

All tables are fitted with Vermont slate bed from our own quarries, imported Simonis cloth and the incomparable Monarch cushions.
